Frequently Asked Questions

In Case You Were Wondering...

1. Why hire SWM as my wedding makeup artist?

Among specializing in bridal and this being my full time job, you can read all about my experience and why hiring me as your makeup artist is a great decision here. I love making women feel beautiful and will do everything I can to achieve your perfect look.

2. How long will my makeup last?

I only use the highest quality of makeup that is designed to last throughout your entire wedding day & night. The makeup will last through the tears, hugs, kissing, etc. and look perfect in pictures! Everything is waterproof!

Although my lip products are long lasting, I always recommend purchasing a lipstick prior to your wedding day to have for touch-ups between the ceremony, reception, eating and drinking!

3. What lines of makeup products do you use?

Some favorites are: Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Nars, Laura Mercier, Kevyn Aucoin, Tom Ford, Makeup Forever, Hour Glass, Marc Jacobs, IT cosmetics, Benefit and MAC.

Temptu and Era Beauty Foundation are my airbrush foundations.

4. What happens at the trial run? How long does it take?

Trial runs are a great way to get an idea of what style you want for the wedding day. Trials consist of a full consultation, lashes, and full face of makeup. The appointment will usually take about 1.5 - 2 hours.

5. Is a trial run required? What if I choose not to have it?

Trial runs are not required but highly recommended. It is not only a way to see your look beforehand, but it also helps me understand your skin type so that we are fully prepared for your wedding day.

6. I'm not sure what look I want - can you help?

Absolutely! I always suggest browsing Pinterest, magazines, or even our Instagram or website for some makeup inspiration. That gives me a better idea of your personal style. I will then ask questions and help create the perfect look for YOU!

7. Do you come to me on my wedding day?

Yes! I will travel on location both locally, out of state, and out of country. I’m there to make your day hassle-free! Please note: travel fees will vary.

8. Is there a minimum amount of services required in order to book?

There is a $975 wedding minimum.

9. How many people can you accommodate?

As many as you'd like, there is no maximum! Depending on how much time we have and how many are in your party, I will bring 1-2 additional makeup artists if needed (at the rate of $200 per assistant).

Each service takes approximately 30-35 minutes, and between 45 minutes to 1 hour for the bride. We always leave a buffer and will never make you feel rushed. It does not matter who goes first and who goes last, everyone will receive one touch up before leaving, and I am available to stay for as long as you’d like after the final touch up at the rate of $100 per hour.

10. Is gratuity included in your rates?

Gratuity is not included, but greatly appreciated! Feel free to tip your artist during your trial or wedding day.
